HIRING IS THE MOST SUSTAINABLE OPTION You’ve planed your function be it a wedding, garden party, birthday etc . You’ve planned the food and the drinks and now you have a choice…… When it comes to crockery cutlery and glassware Disposable or non-disposable Let’s compare the pros and cons Disposable What’s great: Buy it, use it and stick it in the bin no worries, and over the past few years the range has improved with bamboo plates, wooden cutlery etc which would all seem a better option than the plastics and paper of yester years. Not so great: You and your guests will still be eating off a wobbly bamboo plate with a knife that steadfastly refuses to cut anything and a fork that when they put it in their mouths will perhaps unsurprisingly taste and have the texture of what it’s made of wood, and lets also not forget that both these materials would have been shipped around the world. When it comes to drinks the choices are plastics or paper, you could serve your carefully selected wines, cocktails and beers in the more sustainable paper options but it probably won’t look great so it’s usually the plastic option. Non-disposable What’s great: Choose from a wide range of crockery, cutlery and glassware that will actually improve you and your guests experience with options on offer from economic to luxury, your food offering will definitely be enhanced and we all know that all drinks taste better from a nice glass. What you’re using is sustainable and it can be reused pretty much endlessly. When you’re done return it to us for cleaning to be ready for use again and again, your guests will be impressed! Not so great: It might cost you a little bit more per guest, you will need to spend a little time to select from a website and send an email to order. In a way the same also applies to marquee rental. You can hire in a marquee have it put up for you with options of lighting, lining, flooring, and heating, enjoy your event and watch as it is taken down safe in the knowledge that all the equipment is going to be reused for the next customer. Your other option is to purchase a party / gala tent possibly from your local hardware store, it will look average the first time you put it up and possibly with care you may get a couple more uses out of it. Eventually you will end up with a pile of rusty poles and some creased discoloured plastic sheeting taking up room in the garage year after year until it makes it to the dump as they all inevitably do. As if by magic Christmas is here again so quickly! We as a company have survived another sometimes-difficult year largely due to a fantastic, flexible, innovative, and dedicated team of people who have worked tirelessly. It’s good to see also that our competitors / friends within the industry are also still going strong and hoping for more regular times ahead. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Not so great:
You and your guests will still be eating off a wobbly bamboo plate with a knife that steadfastly refuses to cut anything and a fork that when they put it in their mouths will perhaps unsurprisingly taste and have the texture of what it’s made of wood, and lets also not forget that both these materials would have been shipped around the world.
When it comes to drinks the choices are plastics or paper, you could serve your carefully selected wines, cocktails and beers in the more sustainable paper options but it probably won’t look great so it’s usually the plastic option.

Non-disposable
